Astruptunet viewing center
Astruptunet Viewing Center’s volume is carefully adapted to the terrain in all dimensions, creating an organic connection with the relief. The building is not an iconic monument, but rather an integrated part of the cultural landscape, expressing respect for both cultural environment and natural values. Located between the highest and lowest elevation curves, volume requires minimal terrain intervention. The building does not seek to compete with Astruptunet, but rather to convey Astruptunet's unique spatial qualities and moods.
In its architectural design, the project incorporates recognisable local building traditions and techniques, which strengthens its anchoring in the local community and its history. To ensure a versatile and future-oriented use of the space, a flexible building structure is proposed that can be adapted to different needs and activities.
