New Aarhus architecture school
The project is positioned along the central cultural axis in Godsbanen, Aarhus. Building volume is envisioned as a condensed campus, arranged within sustainable, robust layout and a spiral communication axis. Floor heights are optimised to achieve daylight as well as to create uninterrupted visual connections. The core functions of the school, such as auditorium, library, meeting spaces, are designed as access spaces, that merge with working areas. The ground floor is composed as one big permeable workshop space where public functions merge with outdoor areas and the green wedge.
